Over the years exploring family history and genealogy the story of my Grandmother’s oldest brother, Aron was especially interesting. Aron left Sweden to find opportunities in Portland Oregon after working in the family Deli business in Sollefteå. He became Swedish American moving back and forth. The following image comes from a local Swedish newspaper account of the events: funeral service, burial, tributes. Below the image is a line by line translation describing a grand celebration of his life in response to the sadness of the occasion. I believe this is vivid history describing both the character of Aron, the detail provides a Swedish society funeral for a prominent citizen, very well admired.
